According to Eula, "...We would find out when they died and the marriage license and certificate were found in their cedar chest." After Eula passed away in 2004, the documents were found in the cedar chest! They had obtained the marriage license in Douglas County but ran away to Seymour to be married. The mother of Johny was not happy about the marriage and showed her resentment for many years.
